PENGARUH MEDIA TANAM TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BIBIT TANAMAN CABAI (Capsicum annuum L) DAN INTENSITAS SERANGAN LAYU FUSARIUM (Fusarium oxysporum Schlecth) PADA PEMBIBITANNYA

Berbagai jenis fauna dan flora yang berukuran makro, meso, maupun mikro hidup berkembang di dalam tanah. Keberadaan organisme tanah tersebut tidak selalu menguntungkan bagi pertumbuhan tanaman. Fusarium oxysporum merupakan salah satu cendawan merugikan dapat menyerang tanaman cabai. Hal ini menjadi faktor pembatas menyebabkan terjadinya penurunan produksi cabai gagal panen. penelitian telah dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah penyakit layu misalnya dengan memusnahkan terserang penyakit, menggunakan fungisida hingga agen hayati seperti Trichoderma sp. Namun belum diatasi baik. Berdasarkan hal mengetahui pengaruh perbaikan media pembibitan terhadap intensitas serangan pada cabai.
 Hasil menunjukkan bahwa tanam pemberian berpengaruh nyata tinggi Perlakuan AF1 (media saja diinokulasi Fusarium) jumlah daun dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya pengamatan 30 hari setelah tanam. Kejadian tingkat paling terjadi yaitu sebesar 71.43% kejadian 53.57%. Sementara kondisi ditanam lain mengalami rendah bahkan sehat. penambahan arang sekam atau cocopeat memberi hasil lebih baik menghambat karena fungsinya sebagai bahan organik mampu memperbaiki sifat fisik, kimia, biologi sehingga akar tetap meskipun terinfeksi oxysporum.
